Antonio Lobo Antunes, degreed in medicine with specialization in Psychiatrics, is one of the most famous and polemic portuguese writers now at the end of his career. Enfant terrible of the portuguese literature, this author has won for the first time only this year in 2007 the Portuguese Literature Award Camoes, and has been several times spoken for the Nobel Prize but never in fact nominated. Antonio Lobo Antunes is now battling a cancer that was diagnosed in March of this year, but even desespered does not seem to leave his long years addiction on cigarettes.
